Can my Guinea Pig eat Cauliflower / Broccoflower?

Updated: May 2

No, this is not recommended.

Can be high in carbohydrates, which can predispose to bloat, digestive upset, or enterotoxemia.

Brassicas like this are high in fermentable carbohydrates, and while some pets cope with them, we still don't recommend feeding these to be on the safe side.

Guinea pigs and rabbits should have a variety of at least 5 different types of leafy greens to protect against nutritional excesses and deficiencies. At least 80% of the diet should be a good quality grass or cereal hay.
